Pumpkins & Soccer & Flowers...Oh My!

Well we had a busy but relaxing weekend. On Friday I met my mom and my sister at the local Pumpkin Patch in Rockwall. My mom likes to take the kids every year so they can pick out a pumpkin for the Fall season. There was not much going on but we had fun having the place all to ourselves. Ethan wanted to pick out the pumpkin first and of course he always wants the biggest one he sees. After choosing a pumpkin we headed for the hay maze which he loves and lastly, we attempted to take a picture of Kate and Ethan next to the scarecrow. We had a fun afternoon, thanks Mom!

We are also at the end of Ethan's first soccer season at Lakepointe. He has really enjoyed playing this time and he has actually figured out that soccer is about kicking the ball down the field instead of just running in circles the whole game. He seems to really like playing and we have had lots of fun watching him.

To end our weekend, we headed to the Arboretum to see their pumpkin patch and enjoy all of the beautiful Fall flowers. Aaron had never been and I have only been once for some pictures so it was nice to enjoy it as a family. We first stopped at the pumpkins. Ethan was not that interested and Kate was very intrigued with the hay. As you can imagine all she wanted to do was eat the hay but here is our attempted photo of that. I apologize for the blurry pic.

Ethan's favorite part of the day was getting to see the 4 toad corners. These were statues of toads with water spouting out of their mouth. What else would a typical 4 year old boy want to see. All in all it was a great day. We enjoyed the flowers and we even got to hear a little jazz music on the lawn before we left. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
