The second half of our summer was spent doing things that were a little more relaxing. We actually had lazy days of summer in July. We went to Hawaiian Falls almost every week, we went to the movies, and some days we just stayed home and played all day.
However, we saved the best for last. We spent the last 2 weeks of summer on vacation. We took a trip to California and Oregon. It was a family gathering celebrating Aaron's grandparents 55th wedding anniversary and we decided to make a family vacation out of it. We spent the first week with Aaron's Uncle John and Aunt Claudia in California. We went river rafting, camping, visited several natural lakes and rivers, and we were even able to see and play in some snow from Mt. Shasta.
Our second week was spent on the beach in Oregon. The weather was awesome. The temperature never got above the 60's all week. It made it very hard to come home to the heat wave we were experiencing in Texas. The other thing that was special to us on this trip is that Aaron and I were able to renew our wedding vows. When Aaron and I got married back in 2001 a lot of his family did not attend so this was a way for them to be a part of our celebration. Thanks to our family for an awesome trip and for making our day so special. We had a blast and here are some okay a lot of the highlights.
