We took advantage of our first day of Spring Break today. Mom works for the school district and she was off as well so she was able to join us for the fun. We decided to head to Stonebriar Mall for lunch and playtime. We stopped to eat lunch and then headed to ride the carousel. Ethan loved it and Kate got to experience it for the first time. She thought it was fun at first and then towards the end, the vibrating of the horse freaked her out a little bit but she finished the ride and smiled the whole time.

After the carousel ride we headed to the play area. This has always been hit or miss with Ethan because he does not like crowds and usually gets overwhelmed with all of the kids. It was very crowded due to the fact that pretty much all of the other schools in North Texas are out for Spring Break as well, however Ethan did not seem to mind. He had good time jumping and running from one piece to another. Kate does not have a shy bone in her body and immediately acted like she was one of the big kids. She was climbing and crawling to anyone and anything she made eye contact with. It was a very simple outing but the kids had a blast and the best part of it was that it only cost about 4 dollars plus our lunch.

We ended the afternoon with a trip to Party City to pick up some last minute things for Ethan's 5th birthday. He is so excited and can't wait to celebrate his Star Wars Birthday.
My parents have not been able to spend much time with the kids lately(meaning it has been about 2 weeks which is an eternity for these grandparents) so my mom wanted them for a sleepover. Sleepover with Nanny and PawPaw means spontaneous date night for Aaron and I. We ended our day with some yummy Mexican food.
