Fabulous 4th!

We had such a fun weekend spending the 4th with family and friends. We started out on Friday by taking advantage of our season passes to Six Flags. After dropping Kate off at my mom's, Aaron and I spent the day with Ethan riding all of his favorite rides at Six Flags. It was a hot day but the lines were short and we ended up having a great time spending the day together.

On Saturday we spent most of the day at home relaxing, buying groceries, and just hanging out. After that we headed to the Blackingtons for bar-b-cue and swimming. My friend Pam's husband is trying to start up a bar-b-cue business so this was our first time to try his food and it was delicious! After dinner, we spent the rest of the evening swimming and then later watching fireworks from the backyard. Most of them were very far away but the kids had fun trying to spot them.

We finished our 4th weekend on Sunday with a second trip to the Ranger game. My sister Tonya wanted to celebrate her birthday this year with a family trip to the game. This is always interesting with a 16 month old but once again we managed and Kate did great. I am however, looking forward to the day when all of us can actually sit down to watch the entire game instead of taking shifts walking around with Kate. We had a great time and the weather actually gave us a breeze every now and then. We hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July. We did and we are very grateful to live in a nation where God has granted us freedom.

Sounds like a fun weekend. We'll have to use our Six Flags season passes together sometime.

Thanks Crystal, that sounds like a great idea. Ethan is so excited to use our season passes. He asked to go again on Sunday since we were right there by it. Also thanks for commenting, it makes me feel better to know that at least 1 person is reading our blog.
